We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our mobile maintenance team, helping maintain over 1,000 rental units and their surrounding common areas. Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Service Team Leader – Maintenance & Repair and works closely with other technicians. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, preventive work, and repairs within your scope of expertise, ensuring our properties remain functional, safe, and welcoming for all residents. This is a hands-on role requiring versatility, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills.


Your Role

Maintenance & Repair:

  • Respond to and complete work orders related to building maintenance issued by our service center.
  • Perform minor repairs according to your skill set.
  • Maintain and repair household appliances, including refrigerators, stoves, washers, and dryers.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks (e.g., drain cleaning, door and handle lubrication, roof inspections).

Support & Collaboration:

  • Assist property managers by delivering cleaning supplies and materials to resident concierges or property supervisors.
  • Deliver, store, and replace appliances dedicated to rental units.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and work priorities.
  • Report promptly any issues or poor-quality work from contractors or external providers to the Service Team Leader.
  • Suggest improvements or best practices to optimize maintenance and repair processes.

Success Metrics:

  • Less than 5% client complaints or work corrections.
  • Quality of work assessed by Service Team Leader.
  • Timely submission of timesheets and work orders.
  • Accuracy and completion of assigned tasks.
  • Initiative and problem-solving even for unclear or undefined tasks.
  • Responsible use of industrial products and materials.
  • Achieve 80–85% customer satisfaction in service delivery.

Requirements & Desired Profile

  • High School Diploma (DES)
  • 3–5 years of experience in construction, repair, or rental property maintenance
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, plastering, painting, tiling, or carpentry is an asset
  • ASP Construction card (asset)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs
  • Bilingual (French and English) both written and spoken
  • Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina
  • Proactive, organized, and autonomous
  • Teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently and respond to urgent issues
